Our AHG Interns are available to help!
The Helpline is available to take your Request for Consultations! Families and caregivers will be able to submit a request to hear from our team of Certified Animal Hospice Practitioners (CAHP). Our goal will be to provide help and guidance. Caregivers need to know their options, develop a plan, and provide the best end-of-life care possible for their animal companions.

Life is full of stressful situations. Nothing causes more concern and worry than seeing your animal companions not responding, not eating, not drinking, or not seeming to be themselves. We worry if they are really sick, or if their age has finally caught up with them. At the same time, we know the local veterinarian may not be immediately available. What options do we have? Who can help?
What if they could connect with a trained, educated expert who provides them with options, ideas, and a comforting ear?
Our AHG Helpline provides this non-medical service for families. As our interns are mentored, they begin to use their certification as an Animal Hospice Practitioner to help real families in real need. The Helpline would support families by…

- Providing them options
- Answering their questions
- Educating them on what may happen next
Too often euthanasia is the only option. Other times, expensive surgeries or treatments are recommended that only extend life a few days or weeks. We want our loved ones to have the best quality of life possible to the very end. Losing an animal companion is stressful. We want to reduce that stress by helping people make confident decisions as they provide comfort for their companions.
